Lifting a boat
The question “How to lift the boat?” actually stands for “How not to damage your boat and keep everyone around safe while you lift the boat”. Poor lifting can result in damaging the RIB or its parts and could be dangerous for you and the people assisting. Here are a few little tips on how to lift the boat properly and some obvious but somewhat typical mistakes to avoid:
- Clear the area nearby(from people) and never lift the boat with people onboard.
- Use transom and bow lifting points, integrated into the rigid hull, intended for lifting.
- Never use cleats, railings, towing eyes or other parts not intended for lifting.
- Max loading capacity of the lifting system should be more than the total boat weight.
- Never lift the boat with the engine still running.
